8 April 2016 -

After a number or site visits with the builder and City of Greater Geelong, we have been given the following timeline of works:

  • Monday 11th April - Carpets and Linoleum laid - Priority given to corridor, toilets and Multipurpose rooms 3, 4 & 5.
  • Monday 18th April - Flooring work completed. MP's 3/4/5 may be operational.
  • Monday 9th May - All other VRCC rooms completed, VRCC allowed to resume business.

Should we be able to use the Multipurpose rooms in the next few weeks, this may not accommodate absolutely everyone. We endeavour to get back up and running as soon as possible. Unfortunately this may mean that some hirers will miss out on a spot at Vines Road for the time being.

We will still be able to make use of the Green Building after school hours, all thanks to the generosity of Western Heights College.

We are very apologetic for the things that we have relayed and promised but now have not been able to follow through on. The Community Centre is now in the hands of the builders and we now think its best to let them get on with their job.

Thank you all so very much for your patience with us and the situation. We will give updates via email and Facebook as the works move along. In the mean time, should you have any questions or concerns, please message us here on Facebook.

Best Regards,

Committee of management, Staff and volunteers of Vines Road Community Centre
