The Vines Road Community Centre is a small incorporated organisation that exists to:
- To be a self-sustaining community hub, developing and supporting community education, activity and interaction for all of our community.
- To provide a diverse range of programs and services which are targeted at disadvantaged persons and have a focus which reflects both social justice and community needs.
- To foster a sense of community in which members are accepting, supportive of each other and feel a sense of belonging.
- To provide advancement of education for those most disadvantaged in our community.
Our Community Centre is community-led, with up to 8 positions on our Committee of Management (CoM).

To support operations, a CoM may choose to delegate its authority to other people. The CoM of Vines Road Community Centre are currently responsible for the employment of two part-time staff members who, combined equate to 45 hours per week of paid labour;
Neighbourhood House Coordinator
Ursula Irwin
The Neighbourhood House Coordinator is responsible for implementing the Committee of Management's strategic plan, assisting the Committee to comply with employment legislation and advising the committee on other legal and financial matters. The Coordinator is also responsible for the day-to-day operations of the community centre.
Accounts Administrator
Kathleen Carswell
The accounts administrator is responsible for the accounts of the community centre; payroll, accounts payable and receivable and also tax and PAYG compliance.
Volunteers
To further support operations, the CoM has endorsed the engagement of volunteers. The Neighbourhood House Coordinator is responsible for determining the need for volunteers, advertising and selection, screening and managing them in their roles.
Contractors
The CoM recognises that the skill set required to deliver some of our programs are skills that you may need to pay for. We have a number of people in our pool that we call upon to deliver our ongoing programs.
